Helpful Tips for ORUS: Windshield Cleaner
At gas stations, it is common for customer to not only stop for fuel, but also to throw away trash, get a snack, and clean their dirty car windows. However, customers won’t want to stay long and probably won’t come back if your business is dirty, unorganized, and unstocked. One indicator of a mismanaged store that customers take quick notice of is the condition of the windshield cleaner fluid in the squeegee buckets. If the liquid in the buckets has an odor, with bugs and dirt swirling around in it, then the windshield cleaner fluid needs to be changed.
To ensure that your squeegee buckets contents stay pristine, here are some helpful tips:
- Squeegee bucket’s windshield cleaner should be changed every 1-2 days.
- Use a phosphate-free windshield cleaner to boost cleaning efficiency.
- Measure correctly – more is not always better.
- Use a windshield cleaner that contains active ingredients that combat the growth of bacteria, algae, etc. to maintain an odor-free squeegee bucket.
A way to implement these tips is by using ORUS® Squeegee Bucket Solution. ORUS is specifically designed with low foaming surfactants to remove dirt, grime, salts, and other damaging particles from the glass. It is also the first window wash solution to actively reduce odor caused by bacteria growth. ORUS is phosphate-free and is safe for people, pets, and the environment. ORUS comes in two dissolving forms: a concentrate solution that comes with a measuring scoop and a tablet form. With both forms of ORUS, just add water. Use any ORUS products with FRIGO® Winter Additive for low-cost freeze protection in a year-round cleaning solution.

Could I use this solution in the windshield washer reservoir in my car's engine??
Thank you.
Hi Wendy! While ORUS isn't designed specifically to be used in a windshield washer reservoir, it can be and would be relatively cost effective. 1 scoop of ORUS to every five gallons of water is about right for this purpose. Don't overdo it; if you do you might see a temporary blue streak staining your car. If so, no worries. It washes right off!
