What you’ll do:

As CAF’s “Kick Ass” and dynamic New Business Sales Account Executive, you will provide immediate value and sales to an exciting, fast paced sales team. We’re looking for people who are excited about opening new business channels and meeting aggressive sales growth goals. What You Will Need to Succeed:

    • In-depth understanding of the B2B sales process 
    • Willingness to learn the Convenience Store and Retail industry in the US and Europe 
    • Ability to learn quickly, multi-task, as well as work independently and in a team environment 
    • Consistent activity to create initial meetings with targets 
    • Use current tools and contribute new material to grow market infiltration in the US and European markets 
    • Interpersonal and relationship building skills required 
    • Strong organizational, social, written and verbal skills  
    • Proven track record in account management, strategic sales, and new business development 
    • Willing to travel nationally up to 15% 
    • Professional and consistent work habits, strong work ethic, driven to achieve company goals 
    • Proven B2B experience sales or sales management experience 
    • Undergraduate degree preferred

Reports to:

The New Business Sales Account Executive,  reports directly to CAF’s Director of Sales, Sean Piper, who expects an ownership mentality and an “all in” commitment.  Sean’s objective is to develop a sales team that encourages collaboration and support while still competitively striving for individual growth.  The sales team is the “tip of the spear” for CAF, and the SAE needs a hunter mentality with a heart for customer service.  Sean upholds a high level of accountability that will provide attainable targets and goals, but he will continue to challenge and stretch his team.  He is interested in finding the individual’s motivating factors and drawing out their best performance.  The employee needs to be able to draw passion from the positive and grow from the setbacks.  The keys to success as an SAE: be willing to work hard, learn, grow, and challenge yourself to be the best you can be every day!

The Opportunity: 

CAF is the leading manufacturer of outdoor cleaning products for retail petroleum in North America with 15+ years of proved success serving 30,000+ retail locations.  The success as the US market leader is opening big doors and opportunities to expand the business in Europe.  Reporting to Perry Paganelli, VP of Europe Sales, this role as Regional Sales Manager will drive growth in Europe in a boundaryless territory with uncapped pay opportunities.  The groundwork for developing the European market is well underway with a promising future.

Main Responsibilities: 

  • Build relationships. You will strengthen and develop client relationships as well as vendor partner relationships. You will become a trusted advisor; teaching retailers industry insights to drive value. You will develop a deep customer understanding and be creative in meeting their needs. 
  • Generate revenue. Your priority is ultimately to build growth through increased revenue. You will drive awareness, meet with customers and maintain a full sales funnel.  You will close deals individually and as a team.  
  • Lead. You will lead in developing and implementing strategy for market development.  This includes the hiring and growth of local support as necessary. 
  • Travel. You will spend about 30% of your time attending on-site meetings and events across Europe. 

 

Here’s how we know that you are the right fit: 

  • The education. You have a university degree. 
  • The experience. You have built a career with 3+ years of experience in B2B sales or retail petroleum leadership.  You have a proven track record of success selling B2B to large enterprises/Fortune 1000 companies. Experience in the Retail Petroleum Industry is preferred. 
  • The knowledge. You are an expert in the end-to-end sales process and a master negotiator. From identifying opportunities to creating proposals; from negotiation to buy-in. 
  • The technical expertise. You are a skilled at the Microsoft Office suite and a CRM user, preferably HubSpot. You are a fast learner with technical inclinations. 
  • The sales expertise. You know how to close a sale and renew a customer. You know how to ask the right questions and provide the reassuring responses. 
  • The charisma. You can influence others. You enjoy meeting new and potential customers. People view you as a trusted advisor and respect your proposed solutions and strategies. 
  • The soft skills. You can balance priorities, plan strategically, change focus, multitask, handle ambiguity and be rapidly responsive. 
  • The communication skills. You are comfortable speaking in English and a second or even third language to potential and existing customers on the phone or in person. But as an experienced Sales Manager, you know the key is also to listen. Your multilingual writing skills are equally outstanding and you have excellent formal and informal presentation skills. 
  • The autonomy. You can work with minimal oversight and play an active role as a knowledge contributor to the team. 
  • The flexibility. You have a valid passport and can commit to a role where travel throughout Europe as required.  Your home office provides a positive work environment.

Base Salary plus Commission:               $75,000-$85,000 + commissions D.O.E.
