What you’ll do:
As CAF’s Finance Leader, you will bring your creativity to an exciting, dynamic, fast-paced, and fast-growing company. If you’re looking for a traditional finance position – this is not the place for you. We’re looking for someone who is extremely enthusiastic, passionate, and results-driven who brings those values to CAF. If you have a strong ability to hit the ground running to keep the momentum of CAF going strong, then keep reading; this may be the perfect opportunity for you! This position covers a broad spectrum of functions and responsibilities which include, but are not limited to: being accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company, to include the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.
- You will manage CAF’s company finances, including financial planning, management of financial risks, record-keeping, and financial reporting
- You will be responsible for overseeing the budget process and expense control
- You will be responsible for developing, training and coaching CAF’s finance and accounting department employees
- 30-50% executive projects (outside finance role)
What You Will Need to Succeed:
- 5+ years of finance, accounting management experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or comparable work experience)
- Excellent financial and business understanding
- Proven success in a fast-paced and dynamic company
- Strong strategic thinking and planning / organizational skills
- Experience in partnering with an executive team, and have a high level of written and oral communication skills
- Satisfy pre-employment drug testing
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Professional and consistent work habits, strong work ethic, driven to achieve personal and company goals
- Reside within 18 miles from CAF Office (Maple Valley, 98038)

The Finance Manager reports directly to CAF’s CEO, Derek Zahajko, who’s mindset and knowledge of this business ensures his departments and employees are firmly aligned with CAF’s broader initiatives and strategies. Derek’s leadership style is one that sets the vision for the team, clearly and compellingly, then steps back and allows the team to work while being available to provide support if required. What you'll do:
As CAF’s Human Resources Leader, you will bring your passion for people, strong HR experience and relentless attitude to spearhead the HR, cultural and personnel strategic vision for CAF. This position will direct and oversee CAF’s strategic HR initiatives and support the development of CAF’s long-term HR growth plans. You will originate and lead all HR policies, practices and objectives that will provide a high-engagement, high-performing and results-driven company culture. You will also lead traditional HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compensation, organizational training and development and HR compliance throughout the employee life cycle. Exceptional candidates will be outstanding in coordinating with outside business partners, internal business performance and business process improvement to drive results.
What you will need to succeed:
- 3+ years of HR Generalist w/demonstrated management experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Excellent compliance and regulation knowledge
- Strong organizational, social, written and verbal skills
- Strong ability to use spreadsheets to make data-based decisions
- Strategic thinking and planning / organizational skills
- SHRM Certified Professional or equivalent preferred (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SPC)
- Full computer proficiency (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Your Day-To-Day:
- Recruitment
- Establishes and leads the standard recruiting strategy and hiring practices and procedures necessary to recruit and hire a superior workforce.
- Interviews all candidates; serves as part of the interview team for position finalists.
- Employee Relations
- Formulates and recommends Human Resources policies and objectives for the company on any topic associated with employee relations and employee rights.
- Determines and recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation.
- Coaches and trains managers in their communication, feedback, recognition, and interaction responsibilities with the employees who report to them. Makes certain that the managers know how to successfully, ethically, honestly, and legally communicate with employees.
- Conducts investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth.
- Benefits Administration
- With the assistance of the executive team, obtains cost-effective, employee and employer mutual serving benefits; monitors benefits environment for options and cost savings.
- Leads the development of benefit orientations and other benefits training for employees and their families and recommends changes in benefits offered.
- Oversee Human Resource Management System (HRMS) administration
- Compensation
- Establish and maintain CAF’s wage and salary structure, pay policies and oversees the variable pay systems within CAF including KPI’s, bonuses and raises.
- Leads competitive market research to establish pay practices and pay bands that help to recruit and retain superior staff.
- Leadership
- Develops department goals, objectives and systems and all activities of the department.
- Participates in staff meetings and attends other meetings as a department advocate.
- Organizational Development
- Designs, directs and manages a company-wide process of organization development that addresses issues such as superior workforce development, key employee retention, organization design, and change management.
- Identifies and monitors the organization's culture so that it supports the attainment of the company's goals and promotes employee satisfaction.
- Keep the CEO and the executive team informed of significant HR problems that jeopardize the achievement of company goals, and those that are not being addressed adequately at the line management level.
- Training and Development
- Coordinates all Human Resources training programs. Provides necessary education and materials to managers and employees.
- Leads the implementation of the performance management system that includes performance development reviews (PDR’s) and employee career development programs.
- Compliance
- Mitigates risk by keeping organizations compliant with federal, state and local labor laws and regulations.
- Establishes and maintains department records and reports using CAF’s HRIS system.

What you'll do:
Critical position at CAF where strategy and execution meet to drive business growth and personal development. We’re looking for someone that has a strong desire and capability to learn and develop skills like strategy, analytics, detail-oriented and capable of leading people and teams. This position works closely with sales leadership to develop and implement company-wide strategy for the short and long-term growth of CAF. We are maintaining & growing core business, while opening new business channels and meeting aggressive sales growth goals. - Develop and Implement Strategy. You lead the training, distribution, and sales support team in driving constant improvement and delivering results. - Analytics and System Management. Your ability to pull and analyze data allow you to properly develop and implement strategy. You should be comfortable in excel and capable of learning new software tools to drive effectiveness (example, Microsoft suite and Salesforce.com)
- Detail-Oriented Activities. Despite managing resources, you will be required to complete tasks and implement strategy at a high “customer standard” of work. You will need to teach and hold your team accountable to high standards.
- Customer Facing Communication. You will need to interact with customers, other departments and partners. Your ability to communicate effectively will be important in many forms including face-to-face discussions, emails, and presentations.
