The Heavy Duty Diesel and Oil Cleaning Process

The Heavy Duty Diesel and Oil Cleaning Process

Sometimes diesel and oil stains just need a little extra cleaning power…

Diesel and oil stains can be stubborn to clean off concrete, especially if the residue has formed a tough barrier. If you normally use EXIMO® to clean your fuel stains, it can take a while for the microorganisms to clean through thick fuel buildups. To break up these heavier clusters of fuel and obtain a deeper clean, use this Heavy Duty Cleaning Process that combines OTIS Multi-Surface Cleaner and EXIMO® Waterless Concrete Cleaner.

STEP ONE: Pretreat with OTIS Multi-Surface Cleaner

Needed Materials:

Create Cleaning Mixture:

1. Fill container half full with water. Use the chart provided to add OTIS and remaining water to container. Agitate to mix.

Cleaning Instructions:

1. Apply OTIS and allow 30 seconds for solution to soak into stain, then scrub in a back-and-forth motion using a deck brush.

2. Repeat OTIS pretreat every four (4) weeks, or as needed.

STEP TWO: Heavy Duty Clean with EXIMO and OTIS Cleaning Solution

Needed Materials:

Create Cleaning Mixture:

1. Add 1/2 gal of water to a 2 gal sprayer container.

2. Using EXIMO scoop provided, add 1 cup of EXIMO and 1/4 cup of OTIS per 1 gal of water.

3. Add remaining water and agitate.

Cleaning Process Instructions:

1. Keep sprayer 12 inches from surface and begin applying the EXIMO + OTIS mixture on the surface using even strides as you walk.

2. Agitate sprayer often to avoid product settlement and reduce clogging.

3. Apply 1-2 times weekly.

By combining EXIMO and OTIS together, this cleaning process makes cleaning diesel and oil stains easier and quicker. These two products will work together to break up stubborn oil and fuel stains to return concrete to its original appearance.
