Cleaning Small Fuel Spills the CAF Way
Have you ever found yourself trying to clean a small fuel spill with kitty litter, hazmat pads, or pressure washing? Did you know that cleaning fuel spills with absorbents leave those spills flammable for long after the initial spill and allows contaminants to enter the surrounding environment? This creates a hazardous risk that goes unseen by the untrained eye.
At CAF, we’ve developed a safer, more environmentally friendly option to clean your small fuel spills. Our REACT Fuel Spill Neutralizer quickly reduces fuel spill flammability using eco-friendly, all-natural surfactants. Our product also allows users to treat their small fuel spills without dangerous absorbents, eliminating the need to dispose of hazardous waste. REACT suppresses fuel vapors faster than other methods, such as powdered absorbents or liquids. It also contains live microbes that consume spill residues, which prevents the creation of flammable hazardous waste.
Our REACT formula also enhances traction on surfaces where spills are present, reducing slip and fall injuries. On top of that, our concentrated liquid formula bioremediates contaminated surfaces on-site, making it simple to just spray on the spill, walk away, and let it dry. It’s a win-win-win.
Using REACT to Clean Up a Fuel Spill
To use REACT to clean up your fuel spill, you’ll need to first mix the product:

Add a little bit of water to the sprayer container

Add 8 oz. of REACT to the sprayer

Fill with water to the 1 gallon mark

Seal sprayer and mix by shaking thoroughly
Next, to clean the spill:

Pump the sprayer to pressurize.

Spray REACT to surround the entire fuel spill, keeping the nozzle 12 inches from the surface.*

Spray the spill using a back and forth motion until REACT and fuel are mixed at a 1:1 ratio.

Allow area to dry — no absorbents are needed.

REACT will begin to bioremediate immediately, and will fully remove flammability within 3 minutes.
*CAUTION: Thoroughly spray in all cracked surfaces where fuel may pool. Ensure fuels on wet, uneven, or sloped surfaces are mixed at a 1:1 ratio.
